How Pawsettle Plus works

Everything still begins with your pet profile and a free agreement or Petnup builder. Plus adds professional PDFs, a timestamped care record, shared expenses, secure storage, a health timeline, review reminders, full version history, and collaboration. This page walks through each feature; for prices see pricing.

Start with your pet's profile

Everything in Pawsettle begins with a pet profile. Add your pet's name, breed, date of birth, microchip number, vet details, insurance information, medical history and emergency contacts. This information flows automatically into every document and agreement you create, so you never have to enter it twice.

One time purchase

Just need the document once?

If you do not need an ongoing subscription, you can purchase a single professionally formatted PDF of any agreement or Petnup per document. See our pricing page for current rates. The document is generated from your saved answers and produced as a professionally formatted PDF with a branded cover page, clearly structured sections, page numbers and a signature block with space to sign. It is ready to download, print and keep. No subscription required. The purchase applies to one document and can be made at any time after completing the builder.

Professionally formatted PDF downloads

Plus users get a fully formatted PDF of every agreement and Petnup they create. Each document is produced as a professionally formatted PDF with a branded cover page, your pet's name and the document date, clearly structured sections with page numbers, and a signature block with space for both parties to sign. Documents are generated from your saved answers. Plus users can regenerate their document at any time: each regeneration saves the previous version to version history automatically, so nothing is lost.

Build a timestamped record of your pet's care

The Caregiver Evidence Log is one of Pawsettle's most powerful features. Every entry is timestamped and categorised by activity type: walks, feeding, vet visits, medication, grooming and more. Over time, your log builds a clear and detailed picture of your involvement in your pet's life. Streak tracking keeps you consistent. The combined multi pet view lets you see everything in one place, with per pet filter tabs. When you need it, you can generate a PDF report of your log or export it as a CSV. If a dispute ever goes to a solicitor or mediator, your log is timestamped evidence that is difficult to challenge. Courts following the Fi v Do ruling are increasingly looking at ongoing caregiving behaviour rather than just who paid for the pet. A consistent daily log maintained over months is one of the strongest records you can have.

The importance of this kind of evidence is illustrated by the Fi v Do ruling, one of the most significant UK pet dispute cases in recent years.

Log expenses and upload proof

The Expense Log gives you and your co carer a shared, neutral record of every cost associated with your pet. Each entry includes the date, category, amount and an optional receipt upload. Categories cover vet fees, food, insurance, grooming, medication, boarding and general expenses. Both you and your co carer can log entries independently. Neither party can edit or delete the other's entries, creating a transparent record that both sides have contributed to. A per party summary shows who has spent what over any period. The full log can be exported as a PDF report or CSV, making it straightforward to share with a solicitor or mediator if a financial dispute ever arises. Keep all your pet's records in one place

The Document Vault gives you secure storage for everything related to your pet: vet records, vaccination certificates, insurance documents, microchip registration, adoption papers and anything else you need to keep safe. Add an expiry date to any document and Pawsettle will alert you as it approaches. Documents are tagged to individual pets or across all your pets. Storage of 500MB is included with Plus, with larger storage available as an add on. You can also upload signed copies of your agreements and Petnups directly to the vault. When you do, the signed copy is linked to the original document and a confirmation appears on your agreement or Petnup page so you always know whether a signed copy is on file.

A complete health history for your pet

The Pet Health Timeline pulls together entries from your Caregiver Log, your Document Vault and any manual health events you add, and presents them as a visual chronological record. See your pet's last vet visit, current medication, weight history and upcoming document expiries at a glance. The timeline is useful for vets, useful as evidence, and useful for anyone stepping in to care for your pet who needs to get up to speed quickly.

Set reminders to keep your arrangements current

Circumstances change. A good arrangement today might need updating in a year. When you complete an agreement or Petnup, you set a review interval: three, six, twelve, eighteen or twenty four months, or a custom period. Pawsettle sends you email reminders at thirty days, seven days and on the day your review is due. Reviewing and regenerating your document resets the schedule automatically.

Every change is saved and attributed

Every time an agreement or Petnup is updated, the previous version is saved automatically. You can view any past version, compare it to the current one with word-level highlighting, and restore a previous version at any time. Version history also records who made each change, whether that was you or a collaborator, so there is always a clear and unambiguous audit trail. If a dispute ever escalates, this record demonstrates that both parties have been actively engaged in maintaining and updating the arrangement over time. A living, regularly updated agreement is significantly more persuasive evidence than a static document signed once and never revisited.

Pet Care Sheet

Generate a one-page summary from what you have already recorded in Pawsettle: care routines, vet contacts, medication and key notes. That helps a carer or vet get up to speed quickly. You can share it with someone who does not have a Pawsettle login when they need practical handover information in a hurry.

Plus feature

Shared access and collaboration

When more than one person is involved in a pet's life, keeping everyone informed and connected matters. Pawsettle Plus lets you share documents securely, invite carers and professionals into your pet's circle, and manage changes to your arrangements together. Everything stays in one place, with clear records of who has access and what they have contributed.

Plus

Share your agreement with the other person

Once your agreement or Petnup is generated, you can share it with the other person via a secure link. They do not need a Pawsettle account to view it. The link is unique to each document and records when it was first viewed. Share status is shown on your agreement page so you always know whether the other person has opened it.

Invite everyone involved in your pet's care

The collaborator system lets you invite the people in your pet's life, each with a role that sets exactly what they can see and do. There are four roles: co carer, household member, vet and emergency contact. A co carer can view agreements, add caregiver log entries and propose changes for your approval. A household member can log care and view documents. A vet gets a focused health and care view. An emergency contact can access the care sheet and key documents if they ever need to act quickly. Collaborators get their own dedicated dashboard and do not need a Plus subscription of their own.

Propose and approve changes together

Co carers can propose changes to a shared agreement directly through Pawsettle. The owner receives a notification and can review the proposed changes with word level highlighting showing exactly what has been added or removed. They can approve or reject the proposal, with both parties notified of the outcome. Approved changes are saved as a new version, and the previous version is preserved in the version history. Every proposal, approval and rejection is recorded with a timestamp and attributed to the person who made it. This means the agreement's history is transparent to both parties and provides a verifiable record of how the arrangement has evolved.
